ABSTRACT:
The gradual increase in earth's temperature brought on by the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere is referred to as "global warming." The planet's temperature rises as a result of these gases' capacity to absorb infrared radiation. Human activities that contribute to the rise in Earth's temperature include the usage of fossil fuels (coal, petroleum, and gases), deforestation, and increased animal husbandry, all of which emit considerable quantities of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Natural causes such as climate change and natural variations all affect the Earth's temperature, precipitation, and volcanic activity. The increase in water volume and melting of the polar ice caps are two unfavorable outcomes of global warming, which also causes sea levels to rise. This might lead to flooding and the extinction of marine life habitats. Changing precipitation patterns and bringing on droughts, floods, thunderstorms, and hurricanes, also has an impact on agriculture, human health, and the environment. Global warming also has an effect on ecological systems, which changes the biodiversity and health of the ecosystems. The topic of global warming is discussed in the paper, along with its causes, dangers, and potential solutions. Finding and exploiting renewable energy sources is one of the most effective ways to stop the planet from warming up more.
Keywords: Global warming; Environment; Human activities; Solar radiation.
